Students Stock Up On Colonel Reb Gear

Cat Daddy's employee, Autumn Wren says, "Sales are have increased 100 percent since the stop of printing Colonel Red on t-shirts". As of August 31, 2010, former Ole Miss mascot, Colonel Red will not be printed on any items related to the university. The University of Mississippi has not yet declared a new mascot.

College Football is Back

A new season of Ole Miss football starts up this Saturday vs. Jacksonville State. The Rebels will be heading in to a difficult schedule this year, traveling to Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge and Knoxville. Oxford will host big games against Auburn, and rival Mississippi State. The grove should be the place to be this weekend as college football gets in gear.

Ring the Alarm!







Students waited in the parking lot of Guess Hall as firefighters rushed in after a fire alarm went off on Thursday afternoon. The burnt food in a residents microwave caused enough smoke to call the fire department but did not cause any imminent danger.

Expansion? Maybe?

At noon, students gather to have lunch in the overly crowded student union, this triggers a very interesting question; should the union be expanded to accommodate more students?



Ole Miss Students Give Back


“I’m type blood O+.” David Russell, a student at The University of Mississippi says when asked his reasoning for stopping in-between classes to give blood outside The Student Union. David’s blood type is universal, He can only give blood to people with A+, B+, and AB+ blood types, but hecan only be administrated blood by someone with the same Blood Type O+.
